Getting Here

… By Shuttle Bus

There are around 120 guests and most of you will probably travel through from Edinburgh so we have organised a shuttle bus leaving from Edinburgh at 10:00hrs from Waterloo Place. The return shuttle bus will be at 21:00hrs (arriving in Edinburgh around 22:00hrs). 

… By Car

Parking spots are limited and friends travelling with children will be prioritised.

… By Public Transport

The number 101 runs from Edinburgh Bus Station to Carlops. You’ll have to walk (about 2 miles) from Carlops bus stop to Deepsykehead. 

For Campers: there are four buses to take you back to Edinburgh on Sunday (07:35, 11:15, 15:16, 18:35)-  it takes 40 minutes to walk to the bus stop.

The wedding is being held at Deepsykehead, Eli’s family home by the Pentland Hills where there is space for camping.

Campers

There are around 15 places to camp at Deepsykehead with access to potable water, a shower and compostable toilet. Deepsykehead is not a campsite normally, so see it as camping in a spacious back garden. there are also wonderful woods nearby if you would like to set up a little further away (15 mins walk).

What to know

The theme is boho-chic-glam.

Linen, lace, cut-off chinos, summer hats, forest-fairy dresses and flower-threaded tresses welcome!

  • bring your favourite wellies in case of rain – or if you want to venture into the woods for a walk
  • the ceremony will be outside, so bring something warm to wear in case the temperature drops, e.g. shrug, shawl, jacket.
  • Your dish! We will give you more guidance on your dish category well in advance of the date
  • Your favourite outdoor shoes/ wellies (on the off-chance it rains + in case you want a lovely walk through the woods nearby)
  • Suncream
  • Emergency midge spray (it should be off-season, but just in case…)
  • A jumper or jacket for later on, the temperature can drop after sunset even in summer here
  • If you are camping, your camping gear.
